During these hot days in Florida, when the ocean takes on the temperature of bathwater, consider skipping the beach and enjoying the cool fun of Rebounderz. Owned by local couple David and Laura Zorn, it’s a great way to bounce around this summer.
How long have you lived in PVB or Beaches area?
We moved in summer 2013, but have been in Jacksonville for 25 years.
What is your favorite thing about PVB?
Love the proximity to our favorite activities.
What made you start Rebounderz?
We felt there was a need for an active environment that would equally appeal to families with kids of all ages and in an environment that adult participants and parents would enjoy.
How long have you been doing Rebounderz?
We opened in September 2012 with 12,000sf of trampoline space, including a 24 bed main jumper, a tournament sized air dodgeball court (still the only one in Jacksonville) a foam pit jumper and an air basketball slam court. We expanded in late 2013 to include Jacksonville’s first tactical laser tag arena, bowling and other attractions. With this latest renovation, we’ve once again redefined what North Florida does for entertainment.

I love to golf and our family enjoys spending time at the beach, boating, and going to the mountains.
If you could have lunch with anyone, who would it be and why?
Pope Francis. We get so wrapped up in our pursuits, it’s hard to remember to stay grounded. If the Holy Father isn’t available, Ronald Reagan.
What was your favorite subject in school?
Math and history
What is your favorite football team?
What is your favorite book?
Wealth of Nations, Adam Smith
Favorite and least favorite trend in your business?
Favorite trend is a shift toward active rather than passive attractions, and a willingness to combine attractions while still providing a comfortable environment with all of the amenities suitable for both adults and children. Least favorite trend is influx of operators who design facilities to run at high volumes and with little regard for customer safety. Not only do they put their customers at unnecessary risk of injury, they jeopardize the long term health of the industry.
If you can change one thing about Ponte Vedra, what would it be?
I love that Ponte Vedra has a similar feel to the community that I was introduced to 25 years ago.
Last time you laughed out loud uncontrollably? And why?
Watching Deadpool with our 13 and 12 year old in Lake Tahoe. Couldn’t believe I was snookered into believing it was a super hero movie, and our poor 12 year old watched the whole movie with eyes covered.
Your suggestion for a Ponte Vedra mascot?
Sea Turtle, the coolest and most favorite animal of our 7yr old.
