COVID has thrown off many a workout routine. Though no workout beast, I had a system pre-March 12 that included classes at the Ponte Inn & Club mixed with a little Orangetheory. I’ve spent the last few months doing driveway workouts with friends and walking. This week, I made it a mission to mix it up a bit.
Two workouts were mention in our PV Focus Local FB Group over the last few weeks, and I decided to try both.
COREmotion Pilates Group Reformer
COREmotion Pilates in Jacksonville Beach just added some group reformer classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6am and 7am. 6am is too early for me, but 7am is great for my schedule. Sam Frederick, the instructor, led a great class — all distanced. There were 4 reformers spaced out nicely in the room. The class was hard but not overwhelmingly so. And the studio is beautiful. It’s located in Jacksonville Beach in the Costa Verda Plaza building — think FL Juice and Bowl and Casa Maria. Drop in prices are $35 a class, and there are package rates.
Brazilian Booty Workout with Roberta Coltman
Roberta Coltman, a svelte, athletic and lovely lady is holding Brazilian Booty classes in her driveway. They are only $10, and it’s a great workout. Think squats, squats and more squats with some bridge work and abs. Having Roberta for inspiration certainly helps (#abgoals). And the group of ladies were super nice. Message Roberta on her Facebook page if you are interested.

I’ll be going back to both. My need for socializing is pretty strong right now, and the extra COVID wine and food is slowing me down! Join!!!
