Estuary Examiner courtesy of GTM Research Reserve

Just up the road, maybe 15 minutes, there is some great work being done at Guana State Park (formally known as GTM Guana Tolomato Matanzas National Estuarine Research Reserve). Check out the latest issue of The Estuary Examiner.

Screen Shot 2016-06-21 at 8.01.20 AMLearn all about area Sea Turtles, invasive plants, water sampling in the Intracoastal, fish population monitoring and more. There’s also a calendar of events showing all of the cool things they have going down there.

You have it backwards ” Guana State Park (formally known as GTM Guana Tolomato Matanzas National Estuarine Research Reserve)”.

It’s actually “formerly known as Guana State Park.” We are GTM Research Reserve (Guana Tolomato Matanzas National Estuarine Research Reserve).

      Thanks!

Thanks for the correction. It always bugged me that the website was so hard to find. Glad they settle on the simpler name. I’ll correct it! Gwinn
