As a mom of two, Karen has worked as a photographer before venturing into real estate and joining The Volen Group. Karen knows the Beaches like the back of her hand after calling Ponte Vedra Beach home since 2005. Where did you grow up? Dallas, TX
What college did you attend and what did you study? Texas A&M University in College Station, TX. I have a BA in Economics and BA in International Business with a minor in French.
How long have you lived in Ponte Vedra? Since 2005
What other cities have you called home? Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and Paris, France
What is your favorite thing about Ponte Vedra? Even though we have been “discovered”, Ponte Vedra Beach still has a small town feel. I love seeing my friends and neighbors at the beach, the grocery store and football games!
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time? Reading – I know that’s boring, but it’s what I like.
Do you have a dream vacation? Southern France – no matter how many other places I have been, it remains my favorite place to visit.

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? The prima ballerina Gelsey Kirkland or Carol Burnett. Either one.
How long have you been in real estate? 2 years selling but worked in residential lending and Mortgage Backed Securities before moving to PVB.
What are 3 of your favorite things about real estate? Meeting new people literally every week, learning something new every day, and each day is different – there’s no getting bored!
