Golfing in Jacksonville Golf & Country Club

Jacksonville and the surrounding area is highly loved by golf aficionados. All lovers of this sport seen as somewhat tedious and challenging to some love the plethora of course options available along the First Coast. One highly sought after course is Jacksonville Golf & Country Club.

Jacksonville Golf & Country Club earned the title of Jax Best Golf Course in both 2019 and 2020. Golfers from near and far have come to love the course designed by Clyde Johnston and Fuzzy Zoeller. The course is considered to be both enjoyable yet challenging to even the experienced golfer. The 18-hole championship course features two signature greens among pristine fairways on the exceptionally manicured course. Jacksonville Golf & Country Club is great for golfers of all skill levels and is considered one of the more preferred courses among golf enthusiasts. As this sport continues to grow in family friendly trends, Jacksonville Golf & Country has included seven tee options to include two tees for younger players.

Our friend and City National Bank Vice President/Mortgage Banker, Brad King, not only loves golfing but prefers the Jacksonville Golf & Country Club course. Brad says “The golf course at Jacksonville Golf and Country Club is one of the better courses in the Jacksonville area.   The course has historically stayed in very good condition.  The greens are one of it’s best features in that they play fast with subtle contours that require the player to really pay attention to both grain and contour which makes it a great challenge once one actually gets to the green.   There are water hazards on 9 of the 18 holes with a good amount of non-water hazards so targeting your shots is important.  The player looking for bail outs or parallel fairways will not find this a course to their liking.   For the low to mid-handicapper the course never gets old and offers an interesting round all year round.”

Regardless of your skill level or where you are in Jacksonville, there is something to love about Jacksonville Golf & Country. For membership options and information you can contact Membership Director, Jennifer Jones at or 904.493.3111.
