Grab and Go Meals To Break the Monotony Part One: The Beaches

We were talking to some local restaurant owners, and though there was an initial rise in sales in May/June, sales are now back down to April levels. People are off routine, nervous to go out, or out of town.

Our area businesses need us. We are all struggling in different ways – some mentally, some financially. We thought it would be helpful to pull together a list of restaurants and shops that are offering ready-made grab and go options so you don’t have to think… or even order.

Here’s a list of grab and go options at the beach, and we’ll follow this up with a trip to Southside and Downtown. There are so many options we decided to make this a geographic  two-parter.  So….here’s the beaches list.

Trasca’s Marketplace has a grab and go area in the restaurant with family-sized meals as well as smaller portions.  They post a weekly menu and are even doing neighborhood popups and delivery. Here’s a look at the weekly menu. Trasca is located in Ponte Vedra Beach in the Sawgrass Village Shopping Center.

Gregory Pauls in Jacksonville Beach on 4th South has always made grab and go their business. They have a new menu every week of delicious meals for two and have increased some of their staples and sides. This week’s menu.

Native Sun’s Kitchen has a great selection of ready to eat meals. They have a regular rotisserie chicken special for $20 that comes with two sides and sourdough rolls. The salmon is great too. Here’s a link to the website. They have an online ordering system where you can see the menu.

Bottega by Liz Grenamyer

Bottega by Liz Grenamyer in Jacksonville Beach in the Roy’s and Bold Bean shopping center is a wonderful new addition to the grab and go land. Bottega has appetizers and dips as well as full meals. Here’s a look at the menu which changes regularly.

Catullos Italian located on San Pablo at Atlantic apparently has some ready to go meals. Here’s a link to their Facebook page of some of the recent options. Braised beef?!

V Pizza has a few regular large family meals that serve six. It’s a real feast. Here’s a look at the menu. This week’s special was a Cavatappi and Meatballs.

New York Butcher Shop in Ponte Vedra Beach in the Zoe’s shopping center has loads of prepared meals. Here’s a look at their regular menu. Chicken Parm is delicious!

Atlantic Beach Urban Farms located in Atlantic Beach on Atlantic is known for its tower gardens. But they have also ventured into food retail.  They have a nice take-away menu of appetizers, cheese, breads and meals.

Fresh Market Ponte Vedra also has a good ready-to-eat meal section. And, our family loves their $20 Little Big Meal Deal. It’s not ready-made, but the recipes are always easy, and it’s the best deal in town. Their website has the meal deal on it, which changes weekly.

Greenwise Nocatee has been a big hit for many. They have ready meals and people are loving it. Here’s a link to their ordering menu.

We’d love to add to this list, so if you know of other places with meals ready to eat, let us know!!!
