Three ways to support free mammograms in Jacksonville this September and October.
Every October, homes across Jacksonville glow pink for a week, porch lights and storefronts alike, a reminder of how many lives breast cancer touches in this community. Behind that tradition is Pink Ribbon Jax, an all-volunteer nonprofit that has spent nearly two decades making sure a lack of insurance never stands between someone and a life-saving mammogram. This fall, that mission comes to Marsh Landing Country Club through three separate events.
The season kicks off Tuesday, September 29 at 4 PM with a community gathering at the club, followed by Tennis for Tatas on Thursday, October 1, and Golf for the Girls on Tuesday, October 6. Together, the three events give the community multiple ways to get involved, whether that's a friendly doubles match, a round of golf, or simply showing up to support the cause.
Pink Ribbon Jax keeps its footprint intentionally lean. Nearly every dollar raised goes directly toward patient services, early detection, and breast cancer research, including support for programs at Baptist Health and Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville. It's a model built on volunteers, local partners, and a community that consistently shows up. This year's combined goal across the campaign is $10,000.

Why it matters
Breast cancer doesn't wait for someone to have insurance, and neither does Pink Ribbon Jax. Their work means a neighbor, a coworker, or a family member gets screened early, when treatment options are strongest and outcomes are best. These events are how that work stays funded, year after year.
