When someone you admire and respect becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure – and what a treasure Jack Pope was to the Ponte Vedra Beach Community.
In the early 1990’s, Jack Pope volunteered as a member of the Ponte Vedra Zoning Board. In 1996 he accepted the position of Planning Advisor for the Municipal Service District (Ponte Vedra Zoning District). For 17 years, Jack’s responsibility was to ensure that all builders of new homes abided by the St. Johns County and Ponte Vedra Zoning District building codes.
Our community’s ambiance and appearance attest to his abilities and his passion for Ponte Vedra Beach to remain a “Diamond in the Rough”, a one of a kind neighborhood that we have all grown to love and cherish.
A celebration /service for Jack Pope will be held on Monday, December 7th at 10:00 a.m. at Christ Episcopal Church, located at 400 San Juan Drive, Ponte Vedra Beach. A reception will be held at Christ Church immediately following the service.
