Ponte Vedra Public Education Foundation ArtWorks 2016

Ceramics from Artworks 2015

This Sunday, May 1, 2016 over 150 families will be treated to a celebration of exceptional art hosted by the Ponte Vedra Public Education Foundation at the Marriott at Sawgrass.

Families from Landrum, Ocean Palms, PVPV/Rawlings, and Valley Ridge Academy will gather in the gallery-like space to admire original creations by students in kindergarten through eighth grade.

In addition to the art, tables with information about the teacher mini-grants funded by the PVPEF will also be on display. Five students, one from each school will have art work chosen for the billboards outside PVPV/Rawlings and Ocean Palms.

ArtWorks is an annual show of original art bringing attention to students with both natural ability and nurtured talent. Art teachers select from works done all year long and then professional artists are brought in to choose from that group which then become the art show.

Over 150 personalized certificates are awarded at the event with gift certificates for art supplies awarded to proficient Landrum and VRA Middle art students. The 2-D “Best in Show” pictures are duplicated and displayed on the billboards in front of PVPV/Rawlings Elementary School and Ocean Palms for the coming year. It is the only open to the public event offered by the PVPEF; all other programs are in-school enrichments.
