If you scoured the entire 32082 in search of the sweetest, most genuine and loveable lady you would come back undoubtedly with Chantelle Kammerdiener. I first met Chantelle in 2016 as we were both heading on a mission trip to Panama with our church. She was taking her two daughters with her and I was on my 2nd trip to Ciaisan, Panama.
Her girls were both as delightful as their Mom with beauty radiating inside and out. As a resident of Ponte Vedra Beach, Chantelle has fallen in love with the ocean and lifestyle offered here, so some days you may catch a glimpse of her running the Ponte Vedra “Palm Valley” Bridge just for the fun of it. Her heart and love for others can be seen in how she volunteers her time to several charitable organizations. Say hello to Chantelle Kammerdiener – our Ponte Vedran of the Week.
Name: Chantelle Kammerdiener
Occupation: Free-lance writer, public relations consultant
Where I grew up: Jefferson City, Missouri
A Ponte Vedran since: March 2011
Other Places I have lived? We lived in Louisville, Kentucky for several years before moving to Northeast Florida in 2005.
My favorite thing about Ponte Vedra: I love living this close to the ocean.
My least favorite thing about Ponte Vedra: Well, I’m not a fan of A1A traffic during TPC Week but will adjust my plans for this community event!
In my spare time I like to? Run, read and entertain (in reverse order)
Ponte Vedran you most admire: Suzanne Scheuble grew up here, and as a very young woman, she founded Netsanet Ministries, a home in Ethiopia for impoverished children and those with special needs. Her parents still live in Ponte Vedra.
My favorite time in Ponte Vedra: Warm spring days at Mickler’s Landing and the Palm Valley Boat Parade during Christmas season
Dream Vacation other than Ponte Vedra: Germany is my bucket list trip these days; I’d love to retrace the steps of my ancestors.
If I could invite anyone over to dinner – 2 Ponte Vedrans and one famous person – who would you invite? I would invite Gary and Julie Proctor, who have a ministry called Manos de Fe that has lifted up the entire community of Ciaisan, Panama. They inspire me plus, they are just so much fun. Then I would invite musician Marty Stewart. Admittedly, I’m not a fan of Bluegrass music but after watching Ken Burns’ Country Music, I decided Mr. Stewart, masterful storyteller he is, would be a fantastic addition to any dinner party.
Last time you went to the beach: I made a night trip just before Christmas on a scavenger hunt.
Last time you saw live music: I was on a women’s retreat with great friends last February, and we spent our last day in Nashville. We ducked into Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge, where a young band was taking requests. If I do say so myself, our requests got the party started. It was such a fun afternoon that continues to make me smile in the hardest moments.
Favorite charitable organization: I have several favorite charities, which include those aforementioned plus the Tim Tebow Foundation, First Coast Women’s Services and Rethreaded. But the one closest to my heart is a ministry I recently launched with two friends (coming out of that day in Nashville) called Arize Together. We are working with women coming out of restorative programs to provide them with ongoing community and assistance with career development and affordable housing. The women on our pilot team are the most incredible souls; they are strong and resilient despite the trauma and abuse they’ve experienced. They walk out the power of grace, and they are my heroes.
Favorite Ponte Vedra restaurant (or area): Palm Valley Fish Camp: https://palmvalleyfishcamp.com/

Favorite place for a cocktail: Valley Smoke: https://www.valleysmoke.com/
Favorite movie: We Are Marshall but I’m a sucker for any sports movie
Favorite TV show: currently The Crown
Favorite book: The Bible — every day
Something most people don’t know about you: My family will probably cringe but when I watch football games on television, I yell at the players like they can actually can hear me.
Anything else you would like us to know? I want to use this space to applaud the teachers in our local schools. Thank you for your dedication to our kids, especially during this last difficult year.
