This week’s Ponte Vedran of the Week is Eden Kendall. This busy lady does it all and has fun while doing it.
You hear her on the radio at 99.9 Gator Country. You see her Wednesday mornings on WJXT CH 4. As founder of the extremely worthwhile Easy Peasy, a Kids Fitness Foundation, you see her MC’ing kid’s athletic events. She’s also a fitness trainer at Timed Exercise, and in her spare time you can find her dodging cars while jogging down Palm Valley Road. As if that weren’t enough, she’s also a mom!
I’m exhausted just thinking about it all. Ladies and gents, if you don’t already know her, please meet the spunky and stupendous Eden Kendall
Name: Eden Kendall
Occupation: Media personality, Fitness Trainer and Founder of Easy Peasy
Where I grew up: Coral Springs, FL
A Ponte Vedran since: 1999
Other Places I have lived? Gainesville (UF), Atlanta, Connecticut
My favorite thing about Ponte Vedra: The small town feel! We love that our kids have the same friends now, that they did in pre-school, and that we see folks we know everywhere we go!
My least favorite thing about Ponte Vedra: Lack of sidewalks on Palm Valley Rd. This is a huge problem!
In my spare time I like too? Work out and run.
Ponte Vedran you most admire: My friend Stacey O’Connor who is very involved in the mission to get sidewalks on 210. Truly, this road is treacherous. Seeing folks walking to TPC on it, or attempting to cycle to the beach is just frightening!
My favorite time in Ponte Vedra: Those weekends when it’s not necessary to “cross the ditch.”
Last time you went to the beach: Last weekend.
Last time you saw live music: Last week. As a country dj I am able to see a lot of great live music!
Favorite Ponte Vedra restaurant (or area): Sushi Palace
Favorite place for a cocktail: The Lodge
Favorite way to get exercise here: Timed:Exercise and Big Fish Yoga. Running the Palm Valley Bridge.
If I could invite anyone over to dinner – 2 Ponte Vedrans and one famous person – who would you invite? I think I would have to say my teenage son, one of his friends, and the sports hero of their choosing. It’s just really hard to impress this kid! (teenagers!!)
Favorite movie: Princess Bride
Favorite TV show: I am a serial binge watcher. Finished Breaking Bad recently and loved Better Call Saul.
Favorite book: This changes so frequently. I LOVE memoirs and just finished Amy Poehler’s Yes, Please.
Favorite band or music: Country music! There is so much heart in the songs!
