On September 12, PVPV Rawlings collected more than six carloads of relief items for their “We’re With You Bahamas!” hurricane supply drive to help families in the Bahamas impacted by Hurricane Dorian.
Goods included canned goods, tarps, diapers and clothing.
Kids and parents unloaded supplies from contributing families as they dropped their children in the morning. Goods were then delivered to Adventures in God’s Creation for transport via cargo ship to the Bahamas.

The local support for families impacted by Hurricane Dorian in the Bahamas is palpable. The day after the storm, volunteers were collecting goods in the Ponte Vedra Beach Winn Dixie parking lot. From there, efforts have continued all around from collections at Hope’s Closet on San Pablo to supply drives in our local schools to local Boy Scout collections.
Adventures in God’s Creation has been key in getting these donations delivered thanks to the efforts of Jimbo Stockton and his team of helping hands who have experience in on-the-ground relief from previous disasters like Hurricane Matthew, which took the lives of over 500 people in Haiti and left the island devastated.
Big shout out to these sweet kids. Keep the donations and money flowing. Our community is blessed, and it’s heart-warming to see so many generous people giving back.
