Two days of surfing, live music, and female athletes taking over the sand at Jacksonville Beach.
The sound of a World Surf League horn will echo off the Jacksonville Beach Pier again this November, calling more than 2,000 female athletes into the water for one of the largest women's sports and music festivals in the country. On November 7 and 8, the Super Girl Surf Festival presented by Jersey Mike's takes over the Pier and SeaWalk Pavilion for its sixth year in Jacksonville Beach, and its twentieth year as an organization overall. For two full days, the beach becomes a stage for elite surfing, free concerts, and a festival village built entirely around lifting up women and girls.
This is not a niche surf meet tucked away for die-hard fans. It is a free, family-friendly weekend that turns the entire stretch of sand around the Pier into a gathering point for the community, and it keeps growing every year it comes back.
World-class surfing, right off the Pier
The heart of the weekend is a World Surf League Qualifying Series competition, with more than 2,000 women across 10 sports competing throughout the two days. This is a real professional tour stop, not an exhibition, which means the surfers paddling out at the Pier are chasing ranking points that matter on the world stage.
Surf heats typically run from morning through mid-afternoon on both days, giving spectators a wide window to walk the beach, find a spot along the water, and watch top-tier surfing without paying for a ticket. For a town that lives and dies by its swell reports, having a sanctioned WSL event land right at the Jacksonville Beach Pier is a genuine point of pride, not just a novelty.
A festival village that goes well beyond surfing
Step back from the water and the SeaWalk Pavilion turns into a full festival village. Expect free live music, an all-female DJ showcase, fitness and wellness classes, a female art exhibition, speakers and panel discussions, local food and drink vendors, and more than 50 brand activations spread across the grounds. New for this year, organizers are adding a state-of-the-art skate ramp, freestyle trampoline competitions, and the inaugural Quest for the Cape Championship Series, on top of returning favorites like skateboarding, beach volleyball, beach soccer, beach lacrosse, and flag football.
Mentorship is baked into the weekend as well, with programs that pair local youth directly with professional female athletes. It is one of the few events in Northeast Florida where a young girl can watch a world-class surfer compete in the morning and then sit down with her for a mentorship session that afternoon.
Free to attend, built for the whole family
Every piece of the weekend - the surfing, the concerts, the classes, the panels, the mentorship programs - is free and open to the public. That is a deliberate part of the festival's design. Since arriving in Jacksonville Beach, the event has grown into a fixture that draws visitors from across the region, and it is backed by a long list of local and national supporters, including Jersey Mike's Subs, Visit Jacksonville, Florida Blue, Atlantic Self Storage, the U.S. Marines, and the City of Jacksonville's Tourist Development Council, among others.
For Jacksonville Beach, that means a weekend where local businesses see a real bump in foot traffic and out-of-town visitors get a firsthand look at why this stretch of coastline is worth a return trip.
About Super Girl
Super Girl was founded in 2007 in Mission Beach, California, and has spent the years since building into the only large-scale, all-women's action sports, esports, and lifestyle series in the world. What began as a single event has grown into a full calendar of festivals across the country, each one centered on giving women and girls athletic, cultural, educational, and business opportunities in spaces where they have traditionally been underrepresented. Jacksonville Beach became part of that story in 2021, when Super Girl expanded coast to coast for the first time, and the event has added new sports and new energy to the beach nearly every year since.

Jacksonville Beach is one stop on a growing national circuit. The series also runs its original and largest event in Oceanside, California, marking its 20th anniversary there with a three-day festival in August. In 2026, Super Girl adds a brand-new stop in Virginia Beach, Virginia, over Labor Day weekend, with organizers already calling it a candidate to become the series' biggest event given its three miles of beachfront.
Outside of the surf festivals, Super Girl also runs Super Girl Gamer Pro, a competitive esports series built to give women a stronger foothold in gaming; Super Girl Skate Pro, a standalone skateboarding competition for top pros and rising amateurs; Super Girl Snow Pro, an elite snowboarding event in the Colorado mountains; and the Super Girl Symposium, a full-day school program that brings women together with students for leadership panels and hands-on workshops. Across every event in the series, Super Girl partners with Boarding for Breast Cancer and the Surfrider Foundation, supporting breast cancer education and ocean sustainability at every stop.
