Ponte Vedra’s largest outdoor fashion show and cocktail party took place this past week at TPC, with some spectacular golf featuring as the main event. The golf was impressive, but the people watching was a sport in itself!
Gladiators and aviators were spotted everywhere. Not the Roman and pilot kind, the sunglasses and sandal sort! Also trending were one piece short jumpsuits, cream lace, off the shoulder tops, open backed shirts, and a variety of short shorts with scalloped edges peeking out.
Dress lengths were as inconsistent as the golfer’s tee shots off 17th this year. A mixture of long maxis, short minis, knee-length dresses, and hi-lows. Big hats were abundant and in some cases enormous! Due to the new rules, ladies accessorized with an impressive array of six-by-six-by-six “ish” teeny purses.
However, (sorry ladies) it was the men in their fancy pants who really stole the fashion show this year!
