What’s Up Wednesday

Drone shot from Open House Optics

This week into next we are hopefully all practicing social distancing and best practices. Even as we self-quarantine, work out of the house, home school, etc we can still support the local businesses that make our town great and to that end, check out our Ponte Vedra Focus Group for news about where to go or how to help.

We are fortunate to live in a place where the sun is shining, the beach is always open and golf courses are still offering tee times.

A few other things happening in the neighborhood:

Our favorite yoga studios have figured out how to continue classes! Big Fish Yoga will be providing virtual classes starting Wednesday night and Titanium Yoga is offering outdoor flows at Bird Island Park and on the beach.

McFlamingo is offering on-line ordering and free delivery. Their spicy hummus with shrimp is delish and the pickled tomatoes are addicting. Edible Magazine has an interactive map with updates on local food and beverage business information on closures, deliveries, take-out, etc.

Unfortunately the super great local clothing store Gwen Berlin is closing. They are having a large sale and limiting the number of people in the store as well as offering on-line for a healthy shopping experience.

Fresh Market and Target are offering special hours for seniors or others with a high risk of contracting COVID-19.

Those who are joining Gwinn on her 30 days of comfort food might get some inspiration from these Bon Appetit recipes.  Those who are purging will be happy to know Goodwill is still accepting donations from 11-6pm.

Wishing everyone sanity and safety, wellness and wisdom during these unusual times.
