What’s Up Wednesday

A peaceful view from Ponte Vedra Boulevard South

Things are still strange and different due to COVID 19.  The uncertainty of what will come next is a difficult spot to live in but if we do our best day by day, hopefully, this too shall pass.

    Local Info:

Recently discovered the Florida Department of Health website. This data dashboard by county was informative and clear.

Local farmers have plenty of food and are coming up with some very inventive ways to deliver it. Before heading to the grocery store check out what is available to order online from Juicy Root Farm or take a drive and pick-up an order from Congaree and Penn.  Restaurants are finding some clever ways to service their customers. 1758 Bakehouse has meals to go and is running a very small grocery.  Closer to home, Bogey Grill is offering a free roll of toilet paper with every order.  The Ponte Vedra Focus #GetLocal Facebook group is a good resource to share or get updated happenings.

Things to do other than watch the news:

Scroll through your photos and decide what to keep, print or delete. Some might benefit from these photo editing tips from Artifact Uprising.

Take a deep breath and meditate with these free offerings from Calm.

Get cooking. Join Gwinn on her 30 days of comfort food or start a virtual cooking club.  Recipes from Bon Appetit and Half Baked Harvest are on heavy rotation as is The Modern Proper.

Tiger King on Netflix is currently number 1 on its platform for viewing.

Read a book. Scribd has a free 30 day trial of books and audiobooks.

Do something for someone else.  Join the movement to make masks, donate,  set up a zoom account and connect.

Tour open houses virtually. This beautiful new build on San Juan was staged by Starr Sanford Design.

    Most of all, keep well.
