What’s Up Wednesday

Seymours Bookstore in the PV Library has great coffee table books for super prices.

Welcome to our new weekly “What’s up?” post with a few things we are loving, looking forward to happening or just want to share.

Some Weekend Plans:

November 16 Wine and Trucks

The second annual fall festival with, you guessed it, wine and food trucks presented by Edible Northeast Florida at SeaWalk Pavillion in Jacksonville Beach.

November 16 & 17Holiday Market

Shoppers looking for some handmade magic should visit Markets for Makers at the Glass Factory downtown. If you have the funds spring for the VIP ticket which will get you in an hour early, a great way to see all the booths before the large crowds.

Tuesday, November 19 – Yoga & Jags

Here is a chance to play on the Jaguar’s Flex Field!  Yoga classes are scheduled to be led by four local teachers: Nichele McDonald, Dan Pascale, Justin Henderson, and Kathryn Thomas. Proceeds from the event will be donated to Yoga 4 Change.

Thanksgiving Prep:

We are getting ready to host Thanksgiving, and right now we’re thinking about either following this Bon Appetit recipe or making it easy by ordering a smoked turkey from the newly revamped Woody’s .  Since there are a lot of dinners to eat before then, we highly recommend trying one of these Trader Joe Gnocchi recipes from Modern Proper.

Pop Culture:

The Crown is back on Netflix and now stars Olivia Colman…swoon. If action is more your thing, Jack Ryan Season 2 is available on Amazon Prime. Jim Halpert from “The Office” has moved to Washington, DC and is very convincing as a CIA analyst.  The reboot of Charlie’s Angels also opens today, a good excuse to grab some popcorn.
