One Thousand Riders, One Beach, One Shot At A Guinness World Record Title, Right Here In Jacksonville Beach.
The sun is dropping low over Seawalk Pavilion, string lights are glowing against the dunes, and somewhere in the crowd someone is checking their tires one more time before the ride of a lifetime. On Friday, August 14, Jacksonville Beach becomes the site of a Guinness World Records attempt: the Largest E-Bike Party, with 1,000 riders lined up on the sand and ready to make history together.
This isn't a race and it isn't a workout. It's a community showing up, wheels and all, to be part of something Jacksonville has never done before.
The Evening, Mile by Mile
Doors open, so to speak, at 5:00 p.m. with beachside festivities at Seawalk Pavilion. Riders check in starting at 5:30 p.m., leaving plenty of time to soak in the energy before the two-mile beach ride kicks off at 6:30 p.m. Classic bikes and e-bikes are both welcome, and so is every age group. This is a family event first, a world record attempt second.
Registration includes more than a race number. Riders get Bike Bucks worth hundreds in savings, live entertainment, giveaways, and raffle entries throughout the night. Early Rider pricing starts at $35, a Family Fun 4-Pack runs $99, and kids under 12 ride free.
A Ride That Gives Back
Every rider crossing that beach is also supporting three local organizations doing real work in Jacksonville. BEAM has served the beaches community since 1985 with emergency rent and utility assistance and two client-choice food pantries. V for Victory covers everyday costs for adults, children, and families battling cancer, from meals to home and auto care, so they can focus on healing. The Two Titmice Foundation, started by a Jacksonville Beach family after a breast cancer diagnosis, helps breast cancer patients cover everyday living expenses like rent, groceries, and utilities.
Chasing a world record is fun. Chasing it while funding food pantries and cancer support is the kind of night this city remembers.
