The Jacksonville Beach Fishing Pier was damaged by back-to-back hurricanes is back and better than ever! The new pier comes in at about a quarter mile long and provides fishing enthusiasts, locals, and visitors a spot over the Atlantic Ocean to enjoy their favorite pastime.

Parks in Jacksonville Beach

One of the best things about Jacksonville Beach is the selection of local neighborhood parks. Undoubtedly wherever you are in Jax Beach there’s a nearby park with a great selection of fun things for the kids to enjoy.

South Beach & Sunshine Park

Probably the most popular park in Jax Beach. Located at 2514 S Beach Parkway, this park has all the bells and whistles for the kiddos. A Major Renovation is now complete with a 23,000 sq ft. Skate Park and Pickleball Courts, 4 bathrooms with dog watering stations. The kids LOVE the water park inclusion and the Splash Pad! South Beach Park includes Sand Volleyball Courts, Tennis Courts, Football and Soccer Fields. Party gazebos are also available to host a kids birthday celebration!

Huguenot Park

Huguenot Park is located at 218 16th Ave South just steps to the ocean! If you love fishing, visit Huguenot Park to fish the three acre stocked lake from the fishing pier and boardwalk. Tennis lovers LOVE the Jacksonville Beach Tennis Club courts. There is also a playground and basketball courts. When you’re done with the game, head on down to the beach for some fun in the sun!

Tall Pines Park

This little treasure trove is located off Penman Road at 9th Avenue North West. Hidden in the nature lover’s tall Florida pines, park goers enjoy 1.5 acres of greenery and open space mixed with fun playground equipment, basketball court and picnic area with grill. Bring the dog, spread out the cozy blanket and enjoy a picnic in the pines on any day of the week!

Oceanfront Park

Located at 429 1st St South and as its name says, it’s an oceanfront park! The 2-acre park includes picnic areas, sand volleyball court, children’s playground and easy access to the beach via two dune walkovers.

Gonzales Park

Located at 1001 2nd Avenue N, Newly Renovated in early 2024, Gonzales Park offers two ballfields, basketball, playground, two picnic areas and outdoor grills, restrooms and pickleball courts.

Penman Park

Located at 321 Penman Road, Penman Park is 16 acres of adult softball and football fields, two little league fields and T-ball fields PLUS Paw Dog Park. Lots of fun!
