Ponte Vedra Beach At A Glance

The unincorporated community of Ponte Vedra Beach is located about 23 miles east of Jacksonville, just south of Jacksonville Beach. Though relatively small in size, Ponte Vedra Beach is a popular destination for vacationers as well as full-time beach-goers. Like the name suggests, this community is known for its beautiful beach homes, as well as its spas and golf courses.

Ponte Vedra Beach has a variety of neighborhoods, including properties right on the beachfront and private golf communities.

Explore Ponte Vedra Beach Homes For Sale

Though Ponte Vedra Beach has a diverse real estate market, most of the properties listed are single-family homes. The community is considered a suburb of Jacksonville, with many owning a vacation property in this area—though many prospective homebuyers also live in the area year-round. Single-family homes for sale in Ponte Vedra Beach offer excellent amenities, great locations, and that quintessential Florida Beach atmosphere.

When it comes to architecture and style, homes in Ponte Vedra Beach are typically priced in the luxury bracket. Because of this, a significant portion of the properties are custom designed and built, which allows for a lot of creative freedom and upgrades. Older properties, between the 1960s and 1990s, are usually ranch-style bungalows, and are often priced more affordably.

Ponte Vedra Beach Neighborhoods

The area of Ponte Vedra Beach is regarded as a very affluent and safe area, with a number of neighborhoods to choose from. Some of the most desirable places to live include the luxurious gated communities and private golf subdivisions, which offer additional amenities to their residents.

The Sawgrass Players Club, one of the premier golf courses in Ponte Vedra Beach, includes a variety of neighborhoods (sixteen in total) along the pristine waterways and backing onto the green. These include Bermuda Court, Lakeside, Oak Bridge, Cypress Bridge, and more, each with their own unique qualities and quirks. Bermuda Court, for example, is entirely single-family patio homes, while Players Club Villas is a condominium complex.

Gated communities such as Marsh Landing offer a large community (of over a thousand homes) while still maintaining that sought-after privacy. However, golf course living might not be for every homebuyer, so alternatives such as Nocatee (a substantial master-planned community) or The Grove (luxurious homes near the beach) are also great options.

Amenities In Ponte Vedra Beach

One of the biggest draws of Ponte Vedra Beach is, of course, the beach. Some neighborhoods have their own private beach access for residents only, while other single-family homes are located right on the waterfront. No matter where you are, however, you’re never too far away from the white sands along the coast.

Other amenities, depending on the neighborhood, include additional amenities, such as parks and playground structures for the kids to play on, sports fields, pools, and water access (to area canals/waterways for boating/fishing), and more. As well, residents of the golf communities are not always required to purchase a golf membership, but this does allow for even more perks. These can include unlimited golfing, access to clubhouse facilities (which often include on-site restaurants), and various discounts.
