Q: What do you LOVE about The Plantation?
“I love the “boutique” feel of the Plantation. It’s so many small details that really made us fall in love with living here. Everything from the beautiful park-like grounds, the amazing staff, and just the fact that it’s one of the smaller gated golf communities just make it seem special and comfortable. I think everyone who lives here feels pretty lucky to be a part of this special place.” – Monica S
Friendly people, safe safe neighborhood, and a resort-like feel with gorgeous views around every turn. There are so many opportunities to join groups, try an event, or jump in and meet new people. Or you can stay in your home which always feels private and somewhat quiet. – Kristin G
Q: What do people misunderstand most about The Plantation?
When we first looked into moving here 8 years ago we were told it was not a super family-friendly place. That could not have been farther from the truth. There are so many families here in the Plantation and wonderful friendly people of ALL ages! There are Halloween block parties, they have the Easter bunny deliver Easter baskets, an amazing kids camp in the summer and my kids have spent many an afternoon selling lemonade at the end of our driveway. We as a family have had a wonderful experience living here! - Monica S
People think it’s not for families! Currently, there are more than 150 kids living in The Plantation. - Kristin G
Q: Do you use The Plantation Club amenities? If so, what is most appealing to you about the club?
The Plantation has wonderful amenities. We just hosted several family reunions at The Plantation Club House and our kids love to go to the Club House window to grab a snack with their friends. One of my favorite features as a busy mom is being able to order to-go from The Club House! I would have to say we as a family use the beach club the most. When our kids were small is was so convenient to be able to go there with them and now that they are older it’s a wonderful spot for them to hang out with their friends. It’s just a beautiful place to eat, hang out or enjoy a cup of coffee for sunrise! - Monica S
We are still new and are still exploring. They have a wonderful weekly Sunday brunch for residents and many special occasion events. There are also several special interest groups like a women’s group, a poker club, wine tasting etc. - Kristin G
Q: What DON’T people know about The Plantation?
There are NO food minimums for the Club/Beach House Dining which is not the case for many of the other clubs in the area. - Monica S
With a north and south entrance and exit, The Plantation is actually very centrally located within Ponte Vedra with easy access to A1A, JTB and or County Road 210. - Kristin G
Q: What would you improve about The Plantation?
My biggest complaint was that they did not have a full-size community basketball court. The Plantation has just approved a large-scale renovation of the Beach Club, Club House, Pickleball courts, and Basketball courts. It is going to be beautiful and will include a youth hang-out spot and full-size basketball court among many other things! - Monica S
They don’t pick up recycling. You have to drive it to the recycling center! That is the only thing, honestly. - Kristin G
