Sawgrass Country Club in Ponte Vedra Beach is entering a new era of growth and refinement with a $55 million Capital Improvements Plan designed to elevate every aspect of the member experience. Recently approved by the club’s membership, this initiative marks one of the most significant upgrades in Sawgrass’s five-decade history — blending tradition, luxury, and innovation to ensure the club remains one of Northeast Florida’s premier clubs.
The comprehensive enhancement plan includes a full renovation of the club’s 27-hole championship golf course, a 7,347-square-foot expansion of the fitness center, and a modernization of the Beach Club Pavilion and dining spaces. The Tennis Pavilion will also receive major updates, including 13 new HydroCourts designed to accommodate players of all skill levels.

Renowned golf course architects Dana Fry and Jason Straka will lead the golf course renovation, balancing the storied history of Sawgrass with modern playability and environmental sustainability. Construction is scheduled to begin in November 2025, with projects rolling out in phases over the coming months.
These new improvements follow the club’s $25 million clubhouse renovation completed in 2021 — a testament to Sawgrass’s long-term vision and ongoing commitment to excellence.
Membership Growth and Fee Update
Reflecting continued demand and the prestige these new enhancements will bring, Sawgrass Country Club announced that its joining fee will increase from $85,000 to $125,000 effective December 1, 2025. Membership remains at full capacity, with a waitlist currently estimated at 6–9 months.
Those considering joining are encouraged to submit their applications and deposits before the fee increase takes effect to secure the current rate. This adjustment underscores the strong desire for the Sawgrass lifestyle — a blend of coastal beauty, world-class recreation, and close-knit community living.
