Jacksonville Golf & Country Club has issued a press release approving an exciting $30 million renovation project called the “Blueprint for Tomorrow.” Designed to enhance both the social and golf experiences for its members, the plan focuses on modernizing amenities while honoring the club’s longstanding reputation as one of the First Coast’s premier private communities.
A Fresh Take on the Clubhouse Experience
The renovation includes a story, 18,000-square-foot expansion of the clubhouse, featuring expanded indoor and outdoor dining areas, a new fitness center, and a resort-style pool with cabanas, lounging spaces, and a kids’ splash zone. These updates are aimed at creating a year-round destination for members and their families to relax, recharge, and connect.
Golf Course Redesign Led by Andy Staples
On the golf side, nationally recognized designer Andy Staples of Staples Golf Design will lead a master renovation plan and complete redesign of the club’s 18-hole course. Improvements will include new tee boxes, reshaped fairways, updated greens, and full upgrades to irrigation and drainage systems. The course will temporarily close in September 2027 for about 1 year to allow for the full transformation to be completed efficiently.
New design features will improve playability and flow, including a drivable par-4, enhanced safety measures, and the separation of shared greens on holes 9 and 18. The goal is a course that’s more enjoyable and accessible for all skill levels.
Investment & Timeline
To help fund the project, current golf-member homeowners will contribute an estimated $31,750, while social members will see an assessment of approximately $19,150. Construction on the clubhouse is expected to begin in September 2026, with the course overhaul following a year later.
This investment ensures that Jacksonville Golf & Country Club continues to offer top-tier amenities and a welcoming, elevated member experience for years to come.
