Ponte Vedra Beach is known for being a quaint resort town between Jacksonville and St. Augustine. History of this lovely area dates back to 1912 when it gained notoriety for minerals found along the dunes resulting in it being aptly named Mineral City. The titanium, rutile and zircon minerals located along the shorelines were vital in making steel for World War I.

But Mineral City was soon to find a new name. At the conclusion of WWI, local planners pulled together to begin the efforts of showcasing Mineral City as the incredible beach and resort town it is today. Named after Pontevedra, Galicia, a small town in northwest Spain, known for its hospitality, Ponte Vedra Beach made its place on the Northeast Florida coastline.

At long last, Ponte Vedra Beach has another coffee option besides Starbucks! Nothing against Starbucks of course, but the area has been in desperate need of more than just a Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts or diner alternative for the coffee lovers of Ponte Vedra Beach.

There is a lot of buzz about where the housing market is going.  A quick Google News search on the term "real estate market," shows there were over 2400 articles about the housing marketing in the last seven days.

We have seen some changes in the real estate market in the last few weeks, but nothing earth-shattering or dire is happening. And if you click past the headlines in most of these articles you will see that experts are not predicting a housing market crash. A stabilization? Sure. A crash? No. There may be some Chicken Littles out there who feel differently, but the experts and the data aren't on board with the crash theory.

The perfect slice. Cooked to perfection. Savoring every bite. Plain. Pepperoni. Meat lovers. Veggie. Chicago style. New York style. How do you describe pizza and what is your favorite topping? Who has the perfect pizza in the Jacksonville area? I have a feeling if you ask ten people, you will get 10 different responses. Although I don’t necessarily have a favorite restaurant, I do have my favorite type at each of the places mentioned. Pizza, for my family, is an easy Friday meal that we always enjoy.

We struggled when we first moved to Ponte Vedra Beach because finding the perfect slice at a variety of places wasn’t exactly easy. And the amazing thing about the places below is the fact that most of these places have locations at…

Sushi lovers gather around, there’s new beachside dining restaurant in Jacksonville Beach. O-Ku Jacksonville Beach opened in mid-February 2022 just in time for THE PLAYERS Championship. O-Ku is located in Jacksonville Beach directly across from the pier at 502 1st St N, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250. I’m a bit of a sushi snob and quite particular about my sushi experience and O-Ku did NOT disappoint. It hit all the thumbs up buttons on my menu.

ATMOSPHERE

The atmosphere in O-Ku is very upscale. It’s not your everyday, run-of-the-mill, sushi stop. It touches on elegance with a coastal vibe and splash of candle-lit ambiance at every table. The simple yet elegant table settings in all white enhanced the coastal vibe. What better…

One of the great things about living at the beaches, whether it's Jacksonville Beach, Ponte Vedra Beach, Atlantic Beach or Neptune is the culture and community spirit! There's something just incredibly fulfilling that you won't find anywhere else. If you've been around the beach long enough you've no doubt come across a cute and colorful art creation in a palm tree, landscape area or roadside median, smiled and thought to yourself "That is so cute! I wonder who put that there." The important part to its creator was the smile because as you will soon find out, for him, that's really what it's all about. There's actually no telling where you will see one of these randomly placed critters either. When I first moved to Atlantic Beach last year, I was on a…

The Chase Bank building in Ponte Vedra Beach was once home to our Keller Williams Luxury International office at 190 A1A North where recently solar panels were installed on the roof. The same week a customer asked us about the new Tesla roof (which I never heard of) and suggestions for solar panel company. Later that week as chance would have it, I met a lovely couple, Josh and Siobhan, who own a solar panel company. With all these solar panel coincidences I felt like solar energy had to be a hot topic and I was curious. I chatted with Josh Moore and Siobhan Christman of Masterpiece Solar for quite a while and connected to go over some frequently asked questions on solar energy that even I was curious about and maybe you are too!
